About this course
GLP-1 receptor agonist research is evolving faster than most clinicians can track. While approved uses for diabetes and weight management are well established, many providers are unaware of expanding research on cardiovascular, hepatic, neurological, and ocular outcomes, along with safety signals that remain underrecognized. Media coverage often presents preliminary findings as settled fact, leaving patients with questions that outpace the evidence. This course examines emerging GLP-1 receptor agonist research across major organ systems, teaches providers to differentiate associative findings from causal conclusions, and addresses real-world challenges such as discontinuation and side effect management. Learners will build practical strategies for counseling patients on off-label or media-driven uses, grounded in current clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
