What you will learn
At the completion of this activity, healthcare providers will be able to:
- Learners will be able to demonstrate high-quality CPR on adults, children, and infants, ensuring proper compression depth, rate, and recoil to maximize the chances of survival during cardiac arrest.
- Learners will demonstrate how to correctly use AEDs on adults and children over 8 years old, as well as infants and children under 8 years old, including proper pad placement and operation to deliver safe and effective defibrillation.
- Learners will be able to demonstrate effective airway management and perform rescue breathing techniques, including mouth-to-mask and bag-valve-mask ventilation, to ensure adequate oxygenation during resuscitation efforts.
- Learners will be able to identify signs of opioid overdose and apply appropriate interventions, including the administration of naloxone and providing supportive care to stabilize the patient.
- Learners will develop skills in effective team communication and coordination during resuscitation efforts, understanding the roles and responsibilities of each team member to ensure a seamless and efficient response to emergencies.
