Fulfill New York’s latest mandated reporter requirement. This course equips professionals to recognize and report child abuse with expanded training on trauma, bias, ACEs, and disabilities, ensuring compliance by November 17, 2026.
Learn to recognize, respond to, and report child abuse and maltreatment in compliance with updated New York State requirements.

This required training provides New York mandated reporters the tools to recognize and report instances of suspected child abuse or maltreatment. Recent amendments to Social Services Law § 413 prompted the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to update the curriculum to include trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), bias in decision-making, and identification of abuse/maltreatment virtually. All mandated reporters were required to (re)take this workshop by April 1st, 2025. Effective September 1, 2025, Section 413 of the New York State Social Services Law requires all mandated reporters—including those who previously completed the training—to complete the updated child abuse and maltreatment training, which now includes guidance on identifying abuse in children with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Compliance is required by November 17, 2026.2025.
